“In 1996 I was in Verona to draw the movement of musicians performing in the famous Verona Jazz Festival. This concert with Henry Threadgill’s Society Situation Big Band was amazing. It started slightly raining as musicians were setting up in the Teatro Romano and Henry invited me to bring my paper and pencil up on stage with the musicians as protection against the rain. My table was placed next to the trombones on the left stage and this drawing was done from there.” – Morgan O’Hara
